The mischievous chipmunks Chip and Dale began as the unnamed rodent-pests in "Private Pluto" (1943); they acquired names in their third film, "Chip an' Dale" (1947). Although the duo became a mainstay of the Disney shorts during the late '40s and '50s, primarily as adversaries for Donald Duck, the characters never quite gelled. Their appearance and the pitch and comprehensibility of their voices change noticeably from film to film. Chip (the smarter one with the smaller nose) and Dale (the dim one with the larger nose and, often, buck teeth) are at their best when they're trying to protect their home and acorns from Donald ("Chip an' Dale," "Out on a Limb") or Pluto ("Food for Feudin'"). They're less appealing when they become aggressors ("Three for Breakfast"). The other three entries in the Classic Cartoon Favorites series, devoted to Mickey, Donald, and Pluto, repeat many of the shorts previously released in the Walt Disney Treasures series. Vintage Disney fan
I purchased this DVD because my 3-year old granddaughter enjoyed the Chip 'n Dale cartoon that was a part of my Davy Crockett DVD. I'm an avid Disney/Disneyland fan; my daughters are also and now my granddaughter (and grandsons) are and will be true Disney devotees. It's wonderful to see great classic cartoons such as this Chip 'n Dale still available, and it's so much fun to introduce my grandchildren to the wonders of Disney. Bless Walt Disney for all the joy he's given to millions and will continue to give to generation after generation.

I was so excited to find these movies! I grew up watching most of these cartoons and I love how I can share them with my kids. I love watching the cartoons with my kids and creating our own memories. Out of the 9 different episodes there isn't one they DON'T like. It's wonderful to hear the giggles and laughter coming from the other room while I actually get a chance to do some laundry or something! I highly recommend this DVD and I can't wait to see the other volumes in this series!

We love to have Movie Night at our house. Me, my husband and the Kids pile up on the couch, watch a movie, eat popcorn and just enjoy each other! This movie was enjoyed by my 1 1/2 year old daugther, 6 year old son, 38 year old husband and ME (no age needed LOL!) This DVD is another prefect example of a great disney cartoon - It is worth watching!

I bought this DVD for my 3 year old grandson for Christmas. Chip n Dale were always my favorite when I was a child. We watched it after Christmas and this cartoon is still my favorite. My grandson loved it.
